When will I hear about interviews?

Local applicants selected for interview receive a written or email invitation from the medical school (except for Flinders’s invitations which will be made online via the school’s website).  This invitation must be presented on arrival at the medical school, together with a valid passport or current photo-bearing driver’s licence for identification purposes.

How do I apply for admission to a Graduate-Entry Program?

The Admission Guide provides detailed instructions on how to submit your application for 2009 entry to graduate medicine, dentistry and pharmacy.

Step 1:        Sit GAMSAT (or MCAT, for international students)

                    GAMSAT2008 was held on Saturday 15 March

Step 2:        Apply for admission

                    Applications are now open for Pharmacy (both local and international applicants)

What is GAMSAT?
The Graduate Australian Medical School Admission Test (GAMSAT) has been developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) in conjunction with the Consortium of Graduate Medical Schools to assist in the selection of students to participate in the graduate-entry programs.

How do I know if I am eligible for entry into a Graduate-Entry Program?
The graduate-entry programs provide opportunities for medical, dental and pharmacy training to a wide range of graduates who have made a mature decision to commit to a demanding profession. No preference is given to graduates with particular Bachelor degrees.
